The Lord has commanded
us to be salt and light in our communities and workplaces. We are not
to hide our light under a bushel (Matthew 5:15). If we are truly being
effected by the preaching and teaching of the Word of God, it will have
a profound effect on our piety and daily living. The early church did
not grow by leafleting or canvassing, but by believers witnessing of
Christ in their daily walk and talk. In turn, by invitation, the
unsaved came to Church and heard the life-transforming Word of God for
themselves. So it should be with us. Evangelism is not just the
job of the minister or elders, but the Church as a whole being
effective Christians to the world around them. And remembering at all
times, that some plant, some water, but God gives the increase
(1Cor. 3:6).

The FRC in
Lacombe desires to advance the kingdom of Jesus Christ and bring
the truth of our Reformed heritage to this generation in a
fresh way without compromising on the beliefs we hold to be true.
To effectively do
this we must :
Affirm Our Identity-
"Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God
did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled
to God" (2 Cor. 5:20).
Discern Our Mission-
"Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern
the Lord Jesus Christ" (Act 28:31).
Look To the Lord- "So
then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth;
but God that giveth the increase" (1Co 3:7).
