The
Christian Church should never stand still. And while the Church must
never leave the foundation of her Reformed heritage, she should
always be looking at ways of strengthening it. The greatest body
of uninspired Christian truth ever written was the result of the
greatest revival ever to take place - The Protestant Reformation.
The Free Reformed Churches of
North America are the North American counterparts of the Secession Church (the Christelijke
Gereformeerde Kerken) of 1834.
During
this time in Holland's history, there arose a need to distinguish
between those who would stand for the truth of God’s Word and
faithfulness to Word and Confessions over against the liberalizing
trends of the State Church. The FRCNA is a Reformed Church, committed
to the Scriptures with unwavering loyalty.

The FRCNA
is also a Second
Reformation Church. What does this mean? It means that while we are
deeply committed to the work of
the Magisterial Reformers (Calvin, Luther, Beza, etc.), we are equally
interested in the experiential nature
of the Puritans in both Holland
and Britain. This means we seek to promote experiential Christianity by
earnest, doctrinal preaching, teaching, and holy living. The FRCNA also
seeks as David did, to serve our "own generation by the will of God"
(Acts 13:36), without compromising in doctrine.
Therefore, we are a
forward-looking congregation which seeks to bring the "old paths" to
the
present generation. Please take some time and read about the history
of our federation.
